HomeSeer is one of the world's oldest and most trusted sources for smart home products including smart home hubs, smart lighting, smart sensors, smart software and much more - all of which may be safely installed by most do-it-yourself home owners and renters. I have been running OpenHAB for a while, and I have it integrated with rfxcom,z-wave, and mySensors (through MQTT). Took me 2 months to decide but glad I did it. Again, IMO, security is a high priority of OpenHab.

In under 30 seconds you can have a whole new look to your switch. Those are hard to come by these days, so alternatives are to use an existing Linux, Mac, or Windows PC as a Home Assistant server. Specifically, I would like to use a limited number of zigbee sensors that are currently connected to my A+, and the terrific presence detection of the A+ to update virtual devices in Homeseer.
